Poor Colin's fireman costume came in the mail last week and it was a tattered mess. The coat was fraying at the sleeves and bottom (none of the seams were finished) and the boot covers wouldn't have even fit a newborn (as Amanda said they were the size of an empty toilet paper roll)! The coat was a quick fix, I hemmed up the sleeves and bottom (not pictured). The boot covers took a bit more reverse engineering - I ripped out the back seam and added two canvas panels to each side of the seam. Then added bit of sew-in velcro up the back and now he has easy entry boots!
